SockMonkey are looking for a LEAD GAME DESIGNER to work on a number of exciting projects, including licensed IP and original games.

You will assist in leading our design teams, providing direction and feedback, and generating entirely new concepts from prototype to final product. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design and games, work well as part of a team, and look to join an exciting and growing studio.

LOCATION 

As a studio, we are happy for staff to work remotely, hybrid or in the office depending on their preferred choice of work.
 

REQUIREMENTS 

• 7+ years of industry experience, at least 1 in a lead or similar role
• Full lifecycle design experience with at least two published console titles
• Experience working with Unreal
• Analytical mind that can proactively breakdown target experiences into world-class features aligned with the project's vision
• Passion for gaming and pushing the boundaries of what is possible in kids entertainment products
• Ability to prioritise work and identify and manage workload both for yourself and for your project teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Experience working on a variety of game genres
• Knowledge and experience of working with IP holders
• Interest / Background of working in games aimed at a young demographic
